Q&A
Cost
-
How much does it cost for an indoor mural?
The cost of an indoor mural is $100 per hour, as well as the total cost for the paint.
-
Does the cost differ depending on wall size, and complexity of the design?
Smaller designs require less time and effort, while more complex and larger designs will take more time, which lowers or increases the cost. Estimates will be provided after consultation.
-
What is the cost of a mural if done in less than an hour?
Anything less than 35 minutes is $50.
-
How do you round your hours?
I round up if it's been more than 35 minutes.
For example:
2 hours 35+ minutes, I round up to $300.
2 hours 10+ minutes, I round down to $250.
If it's less than 35 minutes, I round down. I round up or down at the end of the total number of sessions I have done.

What should I do before commissioning you?
Having a client show me images or talking to me about ideas they want helps strengthen my composition for the space. Also, making sure I have access to the space for the times we agreed is important as well.
In terms of information for the mural, images, mood boards, adjectives, dialogs, objects, or similar things are more than welcome.
-
Do I have to sign anything?
Yes. Whoever is commissioning me will be signing a contract, which essentially ensures both parties are benefitted based on the terms agreed to.

How long does it take you to complete a mural typically?
It can be difficult to give a simple answer to this question. It's dependent upon the complexity of the piece, how large it is, drying time for the paint, and if the client wants anything redone. However, I do what I can not to dawdle, every project is different.
Sometimes I need to think about how I will approach something. Anyone looking to hire me can always ask me for an idea of how long something will take, and I will do my best to provide an accurate estimation.
-
What do I have to do before you come over?
It would be a great idea to clear the intended space before I head over. I don't want to accidentally splash paint on any personal possessions. While I will put up cloth mats and things to avoid spillage, having a few feet of room behind me as I paint is necessary. I need to clear a path to walk and observe the piece. I am more than happy to help move some things around to create that space.
Nothing else is necessary, but if a client wants to do all that they can, cleaning the desired wall for me to paint would be helpful.
